“I’m pretty fussy and they exceeded my expectations.”
Alfonso led his crew and Carlos executed plan to perfection. Alfonso sent me progress videos on a daily basis. They went above and beyond which is so rare these days.
Sorted newest first. Longer reviews are trimmed at a sentence break so nobody is cut off mid thought, and nothing has been reworded.
Good guys contracting just installed hardie board on our home. They did a great job, very professional, clean and they pay attention to details. Steve did a great job in managing the entire project and navigating HOA requirements. He is very precessional and accommodating. The entire process was a great experience
Good guys did an outstanding job. From the first day Brittney came to look at the roof it was a good experience. Our projects were well planned and executed by the help and assistance of Alfonso and Caro. It was a pleasure working with Brogan as well. everyone made the experience worth it. I would definitely choose good guys to do any project I have. Thank you to the whole team.
Great people to work with from Brittany (marketing) to Alfonso (Project Manager) to their workers. You can set your watch to them - workers show up on time each morning and work nonstop throughout the day . Quality work with attention to detail. Alfonso is knowledgeable and responsive to any questions or needs you may have.
Good Guys undertook a new roof and Hardie siding project for me earlier this summer. From the initial meeting with Brittney through the final inspection with Alfonso, it has been seamless. The entire team is to be commended for their professionalism. From the very beginning, all aspects of the project, including anticipated extras, were laid out so there were no surprises. Design advice was incredibly helpful as the work progressed.

Absolutely Amazing Experience with Good Guys! I couldn’t be happier with the work done by Good Guys! From beginning to end, the entire experience was wonderful. Everyone was professional, helpful, and made the whole process so easy. A huge special thank you to the crew — Jose, Jesse, Christian, and Jasir.
Earlier this year, we started looking for contractors who worked with James Hardie products. My wife had been secretly putting together her ideas for what she thought our dream home would look like, and that involved using Hardie products. I wasn’t really familiar with them, but after doing some research I got on board and added a few ideas of my own.
Thank you to Good Guys Contracting to making our parent’s home exterior renovation project dream become a reality! From our initial meeting with David to discuss the scope of the project, to the preconstruction meeting with Carolina and Steven, we knew at the very beginning this was going to go as smoothly as possible. Everyone was so friendly, helpful, communicative and just overall wonderful to work with.
Can't speak highly enough about Good Guys Contracting. From our first inquiry with Brittany, the team was professional, tidy, and clearly took pride in the work. Brittany made sure we understood all of our options and helped translate our ideas into the perfect design. The house took on a major transformation, and we're very happy with the end result. I also want to call out the foreman, Alfonso.
The team at Good Guys provided the support for our HOA’s major capital improvement project for siding, roofing and appurtenances. It was a huge undertaking and their team was relentless in keeping us on time and on budget. We had a separate project for our home immediately following and we went back to Good Guys for the installation of new decking systems over a flat roof and for a balcony.
Good Guys did an excellent job. Very professional and skilled. They did both decks in one day. Highly recommend them. Project Manager Alfonso Rodriguez ran the job and was a pleasure to work with. He was organized, courteous and very nice.
My family and I had a wonderful experience with the team who assisted us during our home improvement process. They upgraded our siding, windows, and gutters and we could not be happier. With the help of Brogan, Scott, Alfonso, and Carolina we had a smooth and seamless experience. We felt heard and were accommodated when we decided on last minute changes with positive attitudes.
Good Guys Contracting just finished the siding on my house and I couldn't be happier. It looks even more beautiful than I imagined. The entire staff was so friendly and kept in communication with me throughout the entire project, which was great! Brittney and Alfonso kept me informed and answered all of my questions right away. They were friendly and professional the entire time.
Scott Ornellas at Good Guys Contracting has been professional, highly available, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable about James Hardie siding and other potential materials and capabilities that we have been seeking for our project. He put together a detailed proposal for how to achieve our goal (among other things) of restoring the original 1910 historic look of the house, via his recommendations and photo examples of specific…
Alfonso Rodriguez the project manager on my home project was unbelievable! He was at my home everyday. Alfonso responded to my phone calls and texts immediately to answer all questions and concerns. He was instrumental in helping me choose things like gutter color and guards. Alfonso was a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend him to anyone who use Good Guys for their home project. thank you to him and his team.
Good service, and everything on time—no delays.
The company employees live up to the company Good Guys. From the very first phone conversation with the outstanding representative Mrs Brogan I got a good feeling regarding the requested services. Additionally she was always pleasant regarding directing my questions and getting my requested information.
Good Guys Contracting just finished installing all new Hardi Shingle siding and Azek Trim on our neighborhood association clubhouse, Manhasset isle Civic Association. We couldn't be happier with the outcome. The foreman Alfonso was a pleasure to work with and his team of installers were polite, accomodating, and performed really nice work. They also cleaned up very well and managed the daily upkeep at the end of each workday.
I had new windows and siding done. It all came out perfect. Alfonso and the crew did a amazing job ,they were very clean and organized . I totally recommend this company. Thank you guys for all your help !
I am working with Good Guys Contracting for a large project to replace my roof and reside my house in Hardie Plank. So far they did my roof and did a fantastic job. It looks great and they did it quickly and were clean and efficient. My team at Good Guys - Steven, Brogan, Caroline and Brittney - are awesome! I am so impressed with how easy and efficient it is to communicate with them.
They are true masters of their craft, with an outstanding crew! I can’t say enough good things about Good Guys Contracting! They completed a complex siding installation for our home using James Hardie and Nichiha materials, and the final result looks incredible. Honestly, their workmanship exceeded my expectations. From day one, their communication set them apart.
We were advised of faulty install on our new build.called Goid Guys they scheduled Scott for site visit .in quick turnaround he sent a detailed informative proposal. He was very sensitive to our difficult situation. We appreciate his thoughtful support to deal with our difficult situation
Had to come on here and give Scott the credit he deserves! He has been working with my family and I on some renovations we want done to our home and we have nothing but great things to say when it comes to him and his team. From the first handshake, he has felt like someone I’ve known for a long time.
Great service, fantastic communication, and very educational!!!
Scott was absolutely awesome so professional. Communication was great and highly recommend.
We recently had our siding and windows completely redone on our townhouse in Brooklyn, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. The quality of the workmanship really stands out—everything looks clean, solid, and professionally done. You can tell they take pride in their work. A special shoutout to our salesperson and project manager, Alfonso and Brittany, who made the entire process smooth and stress-free.
Scott Ornellas was extremely patient and professional. He took the time to explain different options and was not overly pushy. I can tell he has a lot of Experience and his advice was great! He pointed out and discussed different details that I had not even thought of.
After many bad experiences with contractors, we were so happy to have had a great experience with Good Guys. Dave met with my husband and me and went over plans to renovate our home’s exterior. Alphonso and his crew brought it all to life. Great crew and amazing results!
The company is next level. You can’t do better if you need siding windows decks roof or anything exterior to your property. Commercial or residentia in New York State (I’m on Long Island) But if you wanna supercharge your results and not lose your mind in the process make sure that Alfonso is your project manager. I’m sure the others are amazing too, but for me Al is the man with the plan. Top notch organization.
Steve was fantastic, would highly recommend to all family and friends.
Steve from Good guys was great, very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Would highly recommend him
Steve was absolutely the best. Would recommend him to all my family and friends.
Brittany from good guys contracting did an amazing job helping me with my siding at my house!
Brittney is fantastic knowledgeable and very professional
Brittney is knowledgeable and professional
Brittney is really professional, prompt and expert at her craft. I’m glad I found her.
Brittany is amazing and professional
I found Brittany through a recommendation at Florence Building Supply. Brittany has been a pleasure to work with over the past several months on an upcoming project at my home. Brittany is professional friendly responsive and easy to work with. She fully knowledgeable from the smallest to the largest of details. A fabulous sounding board for ideas and suggestions.
From start to finish of our exterior siding project we always knew we were in good hands with the team at Good Guys Contracting. The results speak for themselves. We receive compliments from people nearly everyday about how beautiful our home looks.
Good guys does an excellent job. Very thorough. Doesn't cut corners. Steve is an excellent project manager. Always informative, knowledgeable and caring about the project. We're very happy with this company.
Good Guys, and most specifically Alphonso our Project Manager, made what could have been an incredibly painful construction project, remarkable comfortable. We did a complete removal and replacement of roof, siding, trim, gutters and leaders on a 20 unit townhouse condominium development in Long Beach NY. He addressed every issue, including 2026 Winter weather related problems quickly allnd professionally.
Couldn’t be more happier with Good Guys Contracting. We had our siding replaced with Hardy board and a new portico added to our front, which was done flawlessly. We are beyond happy!! Our sales rep Scott Ornellas guided us with knowledge and expertise, making the process stress free. Don’t waste your time with researching other companies.
“Good Guys” are, simply put, amazing contractors. We had our old vinyl siding replaced with Hardie Board siding and we couldn’t be happier. These guys are experts at siding and know what they’re doing. We also had our porch demolished and a new porch constructed. They did such a great job and kept us informed on every step of the process. Home renovations can be very stressful.
Good Guys Contracting did a beautiful job on my roof even with this heavy winter we had this season! They were professional and Steve was yet another great project manager, taking time to photo document the process, and answer all my questions and concerns. David is a professional and is always cordial and leads a great team.
Wow! No one has ever put me and my wife so at ease at starting a renovation. Scott met with us and I think it’s safe to say that we were bowled over by how knowledgeable, understanding and reassuring he was. We’re looking forward to working with Scott and Good Guys. Very appropriate name for this contracting company!
Couldn’t have been easier, great communication and overall a very pleasant experience. Highly recommend….kept to schedule and delivered what they promised, even ahead of schedule…
I needed my Andersen French doors replaced (they were 30 years old and the outside was peeling away) and I ordered new doors from Andersen directly. Once they arrived, I had second thoughts about doing the work myself. I saw on Andersen's website that Good Guys Contracting was not only an authorized contractor, but, they are a premier contractor, so I called them.
We were looking to have our cedar shake replaced with Hardie Board and chose to go with Good Guys after researching installation options. We are very pleased with the results. From the start Good Guys communicated often and well. From the initial meet where we discussed the scope of the project to the delivery of materials, day to day updates and mid way and final walk throughs they listened to what we wanted, at times outlined options…
What an incredible experience! Job included demolition, carpentry, new Hardie siding, and roofing. Three structures with a tremendous amount of detail. I literally could not be happier with the results and experience. Every interaction with the office (Brogan)was perfect, in the field (Caro & Theo), they delivered on every aspect of the project, right down to each and every person that worked at the site- clean, quiet, respectful.
I would highly recommend Good Guys Contracting. I needed my roof replaced and from initial quoting through final follow through their communication and transparency was impressive. They offered 2 options for my replacement roof that were both great options.
From start to finish, this was the simplest construction project we have been able to complete. The process, organization, cleanliness of his team, and incredible efficiency, not to mention the video messages on Whats App from our newly constructed roof were amazing. I highly recommend Good Guys! They are truly good guys!
I chose James Hardie cement siding because I love the stream-lined , clean look, and because it protects from elements & pests, and has a warranty. I chose Good Guys Contracting (GGC) because they are a Preferred Elite Contractor for James Hardie, and I’m glad I did. I highly recommend them.
My experience with Good Guys was fantastic, I highly recommend them to anyone. Fair pricing, everyone so enthusiastic from the first consultation, design choices, construction and finish. They set up a WhatsApp group chat to facilitate conversation with the site contractor, office and sales so communication was great. First class work too - I’m super happy with the finished product - new siding and trim.
Good Guys Contracting did an excellent job on my home. It was a very easy and pleasant experience to work with Good Guys Contracting. Before the beginning of our James Hardie Siding project, during a home meeting with project management, the details of the project was fully explained. All questions were answered and addressed with care and concern. The workers arrived promptly everyday.
I was blown away with the knowledge and professionalism from Brittany and the team at Good Guys Contracting. Thank you for all your help on my project.
I highly Good Guys Contractors for any home improvement or renovation projects you may be considering. My husband and I recently undertook a substantial renovation project with them, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Our project was extensive, including the installation of Maibec shingles, and James Hardie siding, a new front door, 14 new windows, an outdoor shower, a new front porch, and a complete roof replacement.
We had a phenomenal experience with Good Guys from start to finish. Their kindness, honesty, attention to detail and expertise made our huge siding project feel manageable. They will continue to be a trusted resource for us!
Good Guys got it done the right way, the first time! The whole team had excellent communication with me through the whole project, always quick to answer any questions I had along the way. Everyone was very friendly and professional. The roofing crew did great work, and cleaned up the job site really well. Not much more I can ask for! If you want to get your roof re-shingled without a hitch I highly recommend Good Guys Contracting.
We had good guys install Hardie Board siding, stone work to our chimney and a gable . The job results were fantastic, first class quality and first class service . The job foreman Alfonso was great and was always available to satisfy any issues I had. Recently, some utility workers came by to fix a gas leak and put two giant holes in my new siding. I contacted Good Guys to fix this problem .
Very happy with Good Guys, great communication throughout the roof replacement, no surprises, work was done well, price was reasonable. The whole team was professional. Next project, they'll be my first call.
Good Guys should be called Great Guys!!!Dave Ferraro and his team totally transformed our 1984 peeling cedar house into a spectacular 2024 contemporary masterpiece.!! Dave had recommended this fiber cement board product from Japan, which requires no maintenance, which I'm over. We took the leap!! We showed Dave and his team a house to use for inspiration and they designed a rendering that was perfect!! we didn't make a change.
Outstanding work at a reasonable price. Pleasure to work with and will definitely use them again.
We had our siding and windows replaced by the team at Good Guys Contracting. Everyone on the team was great. There was always constant communication and the job was done efficiently. Highly recommend!
Shows up on time and does a great job. Very good attention to detail. Have used them multiple times already.
In January, I hired Good Guys Contracting to reside my home with Hardie Siding and Trim. My introduction to Good Guys Contracting began with Brittney, Sales Rep, who walk me through the process and gave me the best price and service than any other company. Brittney was knowledgeable and professional; in fact these traits are indicative of everyone I encountered on the Good Guys Team.
Good Guys Contracting did the siding on our house a few years ago (see previous review) and recently I realized I was getting water penetration on the rear wall. I called and Alfonso came over that week and figured out it was the fact that the house was built without eves on that entire back stretch. Why? Who knows but I see plenty of houses with that condition around here.
Great service and great end result! Seamless integration of customer and the employees. From the estimate, through the signing of the contract, payment process, pictures along the way and the final inspection, everything was done by computer or your iPhone.
Great quality of work on our Hardie Siding. They be came in to redo the work another contractor had completely messed up. Don’t trust Hardie batten board siding to just anyone… we learned the hard way. The whole team was fantastic, Brittaney, Alfonso, Caro, Pauline, and the whole crew. They were on time (often waiting outside early), we would get constant communication of what was done.
I have never worked with a more efficient and detailed contractor than Good Guys. I have several properties and they are now working on my 3rd job in Fire Island. It's not just the quality of the work or the price, it's the integrity and pride that David brings to the deal. If that's not enough, the site supervisors provide daily reports via Watsapp with narrated video! This is a DREAM company.
We had an amazing experience with Good Guys. It is very difficult to find good honest contractors. Dave manages a great team. A team that follows through and who cares about doing good work. Everyone who sees our house loves our hardie siding. We interviewed three James hardie contractors and decided on Good Guys based upon what their previous clients had to say about them and how they rectified a situation of things didn’t go as…
Good Guys Contracting lives up to their name! Dave, Brittney, Alfonso and Carolina were all amazing to work with. Trying to find a good honest contractor is one of life's hardest tasks when trying to complete a project. They were hands down the best contractor I have ever worked with. Never had to chase them down, or worry about if they were gonna show up or not.
I was recommended to use Good Guys by James Hardy when I was interested in getting hardy board installed. Very very happy that I chose them. The project went very smoothly and it was a pleasure dealing with the entire team. I gave them certain time restrictions that they met without a problem And they help me with quite a few design decisions that all worked out great
My house is a detached frame house in a neighborhood of well-preserved Victorian houses built at the start of the 1900's in Brooklyn, NY. I replaced old cedar clapboards and shingles with Jame Hardie plank siding, I chose this siding because it is fireproof, pest-proof and mold-proof and it looks like the cedar siding found in most of the houses in the area.
GOOD GUYS CONTRACTING Co. We had our entire home resided during Covid (3/2020) with Hardieboard, along with the garage. Also our 1000sf, deck was resurfaced with TimberTech planks as well as replacing all railings. They did a fantastic job and the Workmanship and knowledge of these products they used was amazing. We were and still are poud of how great our home looked after living here for 42 years.
This is the part we are proudest of. Across the written reviews, 60 of them name a specific person on our team. That only happens when the same crew shows up every day and finishes what they started.
